ORIGIN OF OHRI
The Haitian Observatory of International Relations (OHRI) was founded out of a desire to fill an intellectual and academic gap in Haiti’s landscape regarding the analysis and understanding of international affairs. Established in March 2020, OHRI is the result of collaboration among a group of researchers, diplomats, and professionals passionate about international relations. They recognized the need for a dedicated platform to study and promote diplomacy and international law within both Haitian and global contexts.
Today, OHRI aims to play a vital role in promoting peace, justice, and international cooperation, building on its strong foundation, commitment to academic excellence, and adherence to principles of objectivity and intellectual integrity.
